Wet scrubbers are industrial air pollution control devices that remove particles and hazardous gases from exhaust streams by spraying them with liquid (usually water), often combined with chemical reagents. They are highly efficient for removing acid gases, odors, and fine particulate matter, commonly used in chemical processing, power plants, and manufacturing. Contaminated gas is forced into contact with scrubbing liquid, often using a mist eliminator to separate cleaned gas from droplets. Utilize packing material to maximize liquid-gas contact, commonly used for absorbing acidic gases. Use a high-velocity, hourglass-shaped chamber to trap fine particles in high-pressure mist.
